Canticle of Simeon, Nikolai Karetnikov

This moving and dramatic Russian setting of Simeon's Canticle is taken from his Six Spiritual Songs, op.31 (1992). The work is here sung by the Men's Group of the Chamber Choir of St. Petersburg with Choirmaster Nikolai Korniev. The music was recorded at the Loccum Monastery in 1995.
