Sir James MacMillan composed his Miserere to be premiered at the Flanders Festival in 2009. There are many choral settings of this Psalm 50, but the best known is the famous setting by Gregorio Allegri. MacMillan's setting is 12 minutes long and a big sing for the choir. If you have time, we encourage you to sit back and listen to the whole piece - it's a contemporary masterpiece! This film is taken from the broadcast of a concert at St John's Smith Square in London during April 2023.
